I was given this watch by my Father in law. Can someone help me ID it?

A model number or year or ballpark value, even though it's not for sale. Would it be worth getting worked on to clean it up or would that depreciate any value? The serial on the back (not pictured) is 395095. It looks like a military style "working man's" watch made of stainless steel. It was definitely worn as it is not in the best shape. The movement number is 469942. There is also some engraving on the inside which I hope someone can help make it out. I'd greatly appreciate any help.

Jaeger-LeCoultre, mid to late 1940s, it doesn't have a model name, made for the european market. Movement is one of the 4xx family, either 449, 463 or 469. Dial looks already redone so no harm in redoing it better. Value probably around $375.
