It all depends on how old they are. The original ones do, but I don't know much more than that.

Sorry, I do not know, it's probably of a low value to a collector.

Can you tell me the re-sale value of a Patek Phillipe and a Constantin Vacheron. What are some of the characeristics or features that distinguish one from another

They are entirely different brands, anything in particular you'd like me to compare and contrast? Generally speaking a Patek will hold its value better than a Vach, though the quality on some is about the same.

I saw a vintage Omega seamaster calender with golden bezel and steel snap back and a large ( 20mm dia ) logo. White dial with arabic 6,9,12 and cross hairs. The dial is in mint condition, you can see the letters were printed and continues, not wrote. The calibre is 503 and with serial number which I have forgotten to write down. It cames with a gold original Omega tri-fold bracelet. Signed crown. There is a omega logo marked in the middle of the glass which you only find it with an angle. How much do you think it worths? Thanks

Man's wrist watch by Paul Buhre, 25 jewels, no numerals, automatic on face with Paul Buhre signature at the top. Appears to be solid gold watch housing with a crystal face and a stainless steel back. On the back it has imprinted "PAUL BUHRE SA". Also shock absorbing antimagnetic, stainless steel back, waterprotected and swiss made. In working condition.

I would appreciate if anyone could tell me something about this watch.

Paul Buhre watches of that era are generally not all that collectible, though there are some early watches that are. Paul Buhre & Henry Moser were the watchmakers to Czarist Russia and a lot of early pieces by them are truly nice. My guess is that the top of your watch is not gold if the back is stainless. So, as far as value, not a whole lot, maybe $150.

Usually ladies watches are of low value, say less than $250 unless they're package with a lot of diamonds. Since you have some diamonds and a gold band, value is probably in the 300 to 600 range. Precious metal content and stone size is the biggest factor infuencing value.

Hello,

I have a folding desk clock from the 1920s that has what looks like a large pocket watch in it. Inside the clock it is engraved "Loca Watch Mvt. Switzerland 11 Jewels 5 Adjustments". Is this the Lacher & Co. that made the airplane watches? Does this have any interest or value to collectors? Can you tell the date from the serial number? It has been running accurately for almost a week now on one winding.

Hi, I have just fell in love to a mysterious old JLC at a local watch shop. I have never seen this JLC that I saw anywhere on the internet. It is a slim, black strapped, automatic with white dial, embosed, not printed, JLC logo and name on the dial, no date, steel case with golden ring on top with some odd letterings and numberings on the case roughly from 2 o'clock to 8 o'clock position.
I would really appreciate any help on this as far as how much it worth and whether this is a real JLC. The attached pictures looks very much like it although I am not certain if they are the same.
Thanks much for all the help!

On the JLC above, it is probably real, but the pulsation bezel bothers me. Can you reset the seconds hand to read the scale? This scale is used to measure heart beats and it makes no sense to have it on the watch unless you can reset the seconds hand to 0.

I'm not very good with modern watches, try writing Justin at www.jlcsociety.com for more info to see if he has seen the model before.

I'm trying to get find a reasonably priced pocketwatch for my 18 year old son. He has been fascinated by them since he was a small boy, but did not inherit either of the family watches because he is the youngest grandchild. My question concerns a Nivada gold plated pocketwatch, 17 jewel, in working order and good condition. On the face is Nivada Incabloc 17 jewels and has a separate 2nd hand dial at the bottom the case has all over engraving with a nature scene on the front. What would be a "safe" price to bid, ie. minimum value. Hope this is enough info.
Thanks

This is a "generic" swiss name, value is about the melt value of the gold + the dimond value + about $40. Ladies watches are typically not worth much.

I have a 14k gold filled Gruen drivers watch that was given to
me by my 94 year old father. He received it around 1945-1947 as a gift from his mother-in-law.
It is excellent condition and still keeps good time, I see no wear on the finish of the watch or the Kreisler watchband. The dial is in decent shape with some spotting and one scratch near the 10 digit. It is marked curvex and switzerland on the dial and has gruen on the crown. The inside of the case is marked Gruen 304/330.
The movement is marked curvex 17 jewels. Do you have any idea of the model name of this "ristwatch" and it's approximate value?

This is a fairly desirable model, I don't know the name, if it has one, but value is about $600 to $800 depending on how original it is and if there is any wear at all.

Value on this is low, unless there is sentimental attachment, it probably isn't worth repairing.

As a collector watch not very high, as most people look for mechanical watches, as a Quartz used watch, it's going to be a fraction of original retial, probably like 20-25%. So, I think, if I were to guess, something in the $150 to $300 range.
