I recently obtained this watch and had it cleaned/oiled/new crystal. It looks beautifuland runs perfect! Unfortunately I did not get pictures of the inside while he had it apart. It has an 18k gold case and measures 1 3/8" diameter. Can anyone tell me anything about it without the serial number and info inside the case? Also the wind indicator seemed unusual, but I like the idea, does this add to the value?
thanks,
perryfront

The wind indicator will add value over a time only watch. I have not had this watch in Mathey, but several other brands have used the same movement in their watches. I'd say ball park value is $600. You're hurt a little bit by the fact that the dial is refinished (at least it looks so from the photos)

I actually have the same watch and am contemplating having it restored. Should I not have the dial re-done in order to protect the value?

Unless the dial is a basket case, it is better to leave the dial alone.
