Hi Zaf. I have tried and tried, to find out something about this JLC of mine. I have never seen one like it. Its made of steel, plastic crystal, fixed bars and 35.5mm in diameter. Military markings says: A336804 6E 884. It houses cal. 885, and on the inside of caseback it says 502060 and LeCoultre Co.. If you can tell me something about it, I would really appreciate it.

I'm afraid I have bad news: I don't think that watch is a genuine RAF issue watch. The case may be entirely made up as well. If you have shots of the inside and that of the movement, I can tell you for sure.

The movement is from a USA market watch which appears to be 1960s vintage. I just can't imagine this watch to be the real deal. The case back markings follow nothing I have ever seen before. This is not proof in itself, but when I have never seen something, I'm suspicious. I have seen fakes of this style coming out of Germany, where the entire watches except the movement where made up: refinished dial, fake case markings, etc. Where did you get it?

I bought it in England, near Aldergrove, where there is a large airforce base. Bought it in a local antique boutique...

Well, I guess you'll need to research it some more, I don't think you'll find anything. The way, I see it, for sure the movement can't belong to that watch and the rest of it does not correspond to any known sepcification.
