I missed out on this watch in an auction and have been so sad ever since. Anyone know anything about it? What it is worth? Where I could find another? Was that the original band? I thought I saw another watch just like it selling for 1600 somewhere. If so, I missed out on the deal of the century because I didn't want to upset the hubby. (I told him I would only bid so high and had to agree to it). Anyway, I hope it ok to put this link on here, because I dont know any other way to show you the watch. It was item number 330002772682 on THE auction site. I know nothing about vintage watches, only that this was very very beautiful. Any chance those emeralds were real? I didn't think so. Dummy? |

This is a vey common watch model and you'll have no problem finding others like it. If you saw one selling for $1,600 anywhere, someone got robbed. They typically sell for $50-$200 depending on condition and marketing. The emeralds and sapphires used on most of the watches from this period were synthetic/man-made. Greg |

I saw the same watch at oldwristwatches.com for $1695. do a search for bulova and it is the 1925 model item number w0950. Is there a difference between the two that I am missing? Anyway, I just thought it was pretty, so if anyone (Zaf?) is selling one like it (in the 50-200 range) my email address is [email protected]. By the way, I just stumbled across this website today and have been reading for the past 7 hours. I am completely hooked. What an amazing site! I am so grateful for the work that folks like you and Zaf do. You must have saved people hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years. In one day I am already an avid fan. (Is that possible by definition?) Anyway, my sincerest gratitude. Jennifer |

I'm not sure I'm stocking anything like that, but we could probably locate one. You can buy it for $200 and donate $1495 to your favorite charity. It would be a more productive use of your money! |
