I would like to know any information about this vintage OMEGA SEAMASTER. Automatic movement Cal 491. Sub-Second hand. Marks on dial OMEGA AUTOMATIC SEAMASTER, no marks on the back. 18k gold case and hands.

Any idea about its estimated value???. If you need further information please let me know.

If the dial is nice and original around $800-1000.

Thank you Zaf, it is good to hear that it has some value. Although I'm not an expert, I think the dial is in good "shape" it only has some spots because of age.

Since I would like to sell it or trade it for a "modern" watch, could you give me some advise about where to offer it?.

Thanks again
Luis

I'm in Venezuela where is difficult to find a fair price for this kind of vintage watch, but I'm considering send it to the US or anywhere else, if I can find someone who makes me feel confidence to do so.

The price I gave you is what you'd expect to pay if you bought it from a dealer, what a dealer would pay is less. If it has any dial issues or any mechanical issues, deduct from there.

I don't know what to suggest other than eBay. That has a world wide audience, but if the watch is shipping from Venezuela, I don't know if ou would realize the estimate I gave you. It's a long way for most people.
