This is a watch my mother recently gave me. And she has had it for a long time. After doing some amateur searching on the internet, I am thinking this watch could be valuable. I would appreciate help from anyone here on this forum.

There are 3 pictures. Pardon how dirty the watch is. One specifically focuses on the bottom of the face where it says Ra Swiss Ra. I tried to take the back off but didn't know how without proper tools. There is a serial # 4921616

Your watch dates from the 1960's. The "Ra" at the bottom means that Radium was the material that made the dial glow in the dark when it was new. It's not likely to glow anymore. It's still radioactive, but so long as you don't touch the dial it should be OK to wear.

Don't think it is a valuable piece in steel, especially if it is a ladies watch (can't tell the size from photos). Maybe $100 if a men's watch (>32mm diameter) and working. About half or less if a ladies' watch.

Hope this helps,

I agree with the ladies assessment, for a mens watch it could be more if the condition is really nice. Maybe up to $200.
