I have no information about this watch other than is was owned by a relative in the late 1800's and early 1900's. I would be grateful for any info, many thanks The watch opens at the front (as pictured) and also at the back where there is a space for a key.

Sorry, but I really don't know on that one. Early pockets of this type are not something I know much about. |

Try lifting the movement out the front of the watch, with the crystal open. There should be a little release at the 6 o'clock, push it in, and gently lift up. The movement, covered with a dust-cover, probably, will lift out. If you can take a picture with the movement out, I can give you some more help/next instruction Aaron |

More pictures as requested, (1) the workings, the writing reads "L Shanfield, Manchester" (2) the dust cover and (3) inside the back cover The diameter is 50mm approx, many thanks
