The dial on this watch is CRITICAL to the value. If it is ORIGINAL i.e. not repainted, then value is in the $600-800 range. Anything redone puts it back into normal screw back seamaster dress watch range, $200-300. |

How do you tell whether the Seamaster has been repainted? The seller said that the dial has been "refinished" - is it equivalent to it having been repainted? Would you be able to tell if it has been repainted? I've been quoted a price of $350. |

Yes refinished = repainted, and it also looks as if it may well be - even though hard to see details from that picture br John H |

My advice would be to look for the real deal. This is a dress watch with a dial refinished to look like a more expensive model. |
