My wife inherited this watch and we don't know anything about it. I can't get anyone to appraise it in the Hartford, CT area and my guess is I'm going to want some insurance on it. Any ideas where I could take it for an insurance appraisal??

Below are three pictures of the watch - sorry for the poor quality. It looks in excellent condition. There are 26 diamonds around the face and 12 diamonds on the fact to mark the hours. The watch has "18k" on the back and also has the numbers "16651 9" and "1638978" I don't know if that's helpful or not.

Any information at all would be fantastic.

Cheers,
Schlotkins

Hi, this type of thing is difficult to appraise without the watch in hand. If it is a quartz watch, value will be highly tied into the value of the gold and stone + a few hundred dollars.

If it is mechanical, it's a little more. The point being, you need a jeweler to tell you how much gold it has and the value of the stones to derive value.
