Hello - I have a ladies platinum Hamilton that was running fast, now not running at all. Case and dial are extremely clean, and dial appears untouched. Would like to give it to my wife but do not know what it would cost to service, or what it is worth in the first instance.
Case number 2776.
Movement number 995A.
Serial number F116,XXX.
All information appreciated.
Thanks

Hello David,

The value will HIGHLY be dependent on the content of the platinum and the value of the diamonds. Stick it on a postal scale, how much does it weigh? I'd imagine we're looking at around $600-800, ballpark. I can service the watch here in DC, via estimate...

Thanks for the quick response, Zaf - According to the scale in our mailroom, the case (exclusive of bracelet and movement) weighs .3oz. Am unsure of the quality/value of the diamonds, but they are all intact.

Would like to have you take a look and provide an estimate. Where is your office in DC? I am at 13th and I Streets NW, and could drop it off or courier it over.

David, I'd guestimate you have $500-600 of raw material there. Is the bracelet gold? In any event, I can probably fix it for you, if it was running at some point, it's probably nothing serious. Contact me off list if you want to service it. [email protected]
