Hi all,

I am trying to put a current market value on a watch i purchased some years ago. I bought it direct from Jurgen Hauff (watch strap maker) in Germany. Mr Hauff bought it direct from the original owner, who he worked for many years ago. The movement number (216372) and case number match and Mr Hauff confirms it is an all original watch apart from the winding stem which was changed during a service. The chrono works perfectly. The dial is pristine and all original. Any help would be much appreciated, regards, Pete)movementcaseback

Where is the rotating bezel? Is it missing?

Too bad the lunette is missing. If this were the original one from WWII with the turning lunette, glashutte t on the dial, in good condition, 4 to 5000 euros you can sell it for in Europe. This model, missing lunette, 1000 euros my guess. You can find out easily how much its worth on german websites. If you want to maximize your sale repatriate it back to the Reich somehow. Wie geht es mit ihrem Deutsch? It will need to be sent though from an EU member state. Know anyone in Europe? Germans won't buy from outside the EU for the gestapo zoll beamter will slap a 28% duty on whatever value they feel it has. If you sell it in the US you will most likely get less for it.

My estimate, as is, and running, around $1700-1800. The lack of bezel is not a good 'sales feature'.
