I have a square faced 1930's hamilton inside the case it says 14 karat solid gold. The mechanism is clean and works too. On the mechanism it says Hamilton Watch Co 17 Jewels 4070215 and under that 987. Then on the cover it has ADDITIONAL ENGRAVINGS TOO. WADSWORTH QUALITY 14 KARAT SOLID GOLD 0131126 AT THE VERY TOP 6/0,UNDER THAT C 656. Can you give me some information about it including how much is it worth thanks in advance.

Lisa -

The picture is way too small to see anything.

I suggest that you go to the following website:

http://www.vintagewatch.info/Geometric.htm

I'll bet you'll find the info you're looking for there. This website has a listing by catalog year as well as serial number info on the movements. Your watch's movement would seem to date from around 1929.

The 14K Hamiltons seem to much rarer than the gold filled models for obvious reasons. Can't tell much about the condition from the picture, so it's tough to place any sort of a value on the watch.

Hope this helps,

Your other post had a link to the eBay listing. Now that I've seen better pictures, I can narrow it down a bit. Try this link.

http://www.vintagewatch.info/Detail%20-%20Cushion%20Form%20Eng.%20-%20White%20GF .htm

Please note that there are several dial styles for each watch, but I think this one is your watch.

Don't know the value (as you are the seller), but suspect it will go higher than the current bid. How much is up to the bidders.

Good luck,
