Hello I recieved the attached watch from my grandfather. I know it is from the 60s but other then that I don't know much. I know it is automatic and a Universal Geneve Golden Shadow 18k. Please feel free to let me know the value and what info you know about this watch. Is it rare at all?FrontRare

Value if probably around $550-750. The movement is one of the nicer ones, but the dress stye is not all that popular right now. I don't think it is rare.

Hi Universalgeneve,

I would estimate in 2014 that your Grandfather's Universal Geneve Golden Shadow is worth around between $2000-$3000 if it's in good working order. Don't sell it for less, better yet covet it for your Grandfather!

I think that's wildly optimistic, but nothing wrong with shooting for the stars!

I'm talking head only, add the value of the bracelet at scrap. So, that would need to be weighed.
