Maybe it's not fancy enough for many, but over a year ago I purchased a Stowa Armee Francaise from this site and have found it to be the best watch I have ever owned. For those who have served in Vietnam (Americans or French ) it has special meaning and I can't understand why they aren't more esteemed, It doesn't do anything but tell time but it does that perfectly....P. Rare doesn't always mean that valuable...not sure why. Maybe one thing against it is all 2700 watches came out of the French depots at once. I was fortunate enough at the time to buy about 50 of them, but they're all gone but a few.

Thanks for the comments Zaf. Realize I should have put this under military watch thread. Wasn't really thinking about value so much as the fact it is a nice watch and I'm sure would be more popular to Vietnam vets if they knew the history and rarity of this Stowa....P.L.
