I am hoping that someone can help me on this one. Attached is a picture of an Omega Automatic watch given to me years ago. I cannot find any information on it so I do not know what it's value is. It looks like a Seamaster, but the date is at 6 O'clock and there is no model name anywhere. Back is plain except for "14K GOLD FILLED L&K" stamped on the outer rim. I emailed Omega weeks and they have not gotten back to me. Any information would be helpful.

I'm not surprised that it has taken weeks for Omega to get back to you. They've had a number of retirements in their historical research department in the last few years. That's the way it goes with some of these companies. JLC is now charging Sfr. 300 just to look anything up now. After all, they do have a business to run... Anyway, I happen to know exactly what you have here. You have a very early Seamaster Calendar model made specifically for export to the USA. It probably dates from around 1950 or so. The bumper automatic movement was made in Switzerland, but the case was made here. Two giveaways - first is the L&K is a US-based watch case company and second is the word "Swiss" rather than "Swiss Made" at the bottom of the dial. For some reason the US importer of these (Norman Morris, Inc.) didn't put the Seamaster name on the dial. I have a advertisement for that exact watch, without the name:
Hope this helps, gatorcpa |

Can You estimate the value of this 14 k gold Eterna. It is supposed to be from 30-ties, so does it look as a redial to You? |
