Hi. This watch is a Men's Elgin Skeleton Back, 17j Waterproof Automatic. 10K RGP Bezel. The number on the case back is 4848. It is in excellent condition and runs great with good reserve. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As a gold plated Elgin, value will be low, < $125.

Thanks Zaf. I'll probably put it on the bay to see what it will bring. Thanks again

Late 1960s, maybe even early 1970s.

When you list it for sale, the correct term is "display back", not "skeleton back". The term "skeleton" in watch terminology is used to describe something very different.

The Florentined case is quite unusual for an Elgin or for any non-European watch for that matter.
