Hi .. new this forum! I inherited this men's longine's from my dad. The watch casing is solid 14k and the mesh/weave band is also solid 14k. The serial number on the movement is 8068542. The serial number on the inside of the back is 2182149. There is also an engraving on the inside of the back CW1979MB7604. I believe my father got this in 1950 (from my uncle who was a jeweler on 47th st in NYC) The watch is a manual wind and still keeps good time! Any idea what the value is? Thanks for your help :-)

Value will be mostly based on the gold content. You'd need to weigh it. Maybe around $700-900.

I think the estimate is pretty close then. The movement & crystal probably weigh 10gr and the scrapper would charge "refining costs" 10-20% of spot.
