My mother has had this watch for 40 years. It was her grandmothers and I'd like to know any info you might have on it(era it was made, where it was made, etc.)anything would be interesting to me. I'd also like to get some idea what it's worth.

The jeweler said it was 18k gold and that the diamonds were real, but recommended that I try to find if there is any collector value for it.

Thanks for any help.

Bob

Bob,

VERY cool watch! Love the deco styling, original gold snake bracelet with globe accents and the citrine baguettes top and bottom. Very classic Tiffany piece that would definitely be of interest to any Tiffany collector.

I would guess early 1940s for the manufacture date. It would be interesting to see what manufacturer made this watch for Tiffany (from looking at the movement). Tiffany sourced watches from a variety of different manufactures during this period: Movado, Longines, Patek Philippe, IWC and many others.

Thanks Greg, It's cool to learn the history of some of the family heirlooms. We also found a Tiffany engagement ring set that we weren't sure of the history, but the date narrowed down who it belonged to quite a bit.

Thanks again,

Bob
