Hello, Do you think this is an authentic Bulova watch?

If the picture is not clear, the watch (in the front) says: BULOVA - QUARTZ - WATER RESISTANT - JAPAN MVT, with two gold looking squares on the top (12) and bottom (6) with tiny little shiny diamond looking pieces. The back states: BULOVA, WATER RESISTANT, 18K GOLD, 185776, SWISS MADE.

The watch is around 1" wide and 8.5" long

Your reply would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Something like this will be worth the value of the gold. It will not have collector value above the gold content.

I've had this model brought into my shop several times in the past. They are NOT 18K gold as marked, but are simply thinly plated base metal. In other words, fake. Sorry.

If the watch has been worn for any substantial length of time, you'll find obvious wear-thru marks to the plating on the edges and underside (exposing the brass core underneath) which clearly show it is not solid gold, like marked.
