Hi,
Perhaps you can shed light on this lovely mint Shreve & Co watch. It has a Longines movement. Did they use other manufacturer's movements in these watches, as I have also seen Patek allied with them too.Movement number is 2727013. Any idea of a value?

Thanks
Greg

If memory serves, Shreve & Co, is a San Fransico jeweler. Sort of the West Coast Tiffany & Co. They've used a variety of movements from Longines, Patek, Audermars and Vacheron.

How big is the watch?

Hi Zaf,
The watch is 2.6mm in diameter, designed for a lady.Your right about the Patek connection as I have seen a couple of Shreve with Patek movements.

Usually the ladies sized watches are valued fairly low. The 2.7M serial number off the Longines movement indicates a movement production date of around 1912, so it's a little inconsistent with the 1925 engraving, but can still be original to the watch. These things can easily wait a few years before being cased and a few more before being sold. Also the case is not a Swiss Longines case, but an American 14k one, which is also a strike against it.

So perhaps, given that it is a small watch and in 14k, it may be worth $300-400, but that's just a guess.
