Hello. I amm attaching photos of an older ladies Cartier tank watch. It has a square face, measuring 7/8" x 7/8", and I have not found another like it searching online. Back is marked - Cartier / 18K GOLD ELECTROPLATED / SWISS

The watch is in very good condition. Unused for many years, but still keeps perfect time. I would be grateful for any info you might be able to provide about this watch. Thank you.

Has anyone looked inside? I'm not convinced it is real!

No--I have not had anyone look inside, but will certainly do so now! The question of authenticity had not even crossed my mind. I really appreciate your response and advice. Thank you!

The reason I ask, is that "electroplate" for Cartier, is sub-standard. At a minimum they've used the vermeil technique, gold over silver, but not electroplate.
