Posted this here http://www.classicwatch.com/discus/messages/623/40554.html?1270221929 Have a watch that was my mother's (born 1930). Has her initials on the back. Face says "Lambert Bros" which I found was a jeweler in NYC that used to have watches made with their name by other companies (Illinois). Movement is "Imperial Watch Co." 17 Jewels. 3141. Model 82. BXP is engraved on it in the 2:00 position. Inside the case is engraved "Lambert Bros 14k". Also, inscribed (by hand) is the following III 54 JL and T6067- Jimh said this: This is really a Swiss watch. The movement appears to be a 17 jewel A. Schild caliber 970 in the non-separate escape wheel bridge variation (or related). The import code BXP is the U.S. import code for the firm Imperial. Bayer, Pretzfelder & Mills.

Of course I was looking for the Antiques Roadshow bonus prize, but thanks for the input. You're presuming it was gold? (Don't know offhand) |

"Lambert Bros 14k" should be 14k gold. |
