Hi there,

I was hoping that I could get an appraisal for my 14k solid gold Gruen Pan American. Most of these that I encounter are either stainless steel or gold filled. I have yet to encounter another solid gold Pan American, so I have nothing to compare to.

The watch has just been completely overhauled and works brilliantly.

I have attached pictures of the watch below.

Are these watches in solid gold considered more "rare" than their gold filled colleagues?

Also, I assume this is not the band that originally would have come with the watch. Would the original band have been leather?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

I don't recall having a gold one, I'd imagine current market around $400-600, though that is just a guess. I don't think it's an item that's on a lot of collector's wish lists.
