I have a Waltham pocketwatch and would like to know if there is any value to it. It appears to work. I'm unable to open the case to look at the model/serial number. The FOB says 1934-A Century of Progress Chicago.

Until you find a way to open the case to look at the movement serial number and case markings, there is going to be little anybody can tell you about it.

Speaking in very general terms, the pocket watch market is very soft and few models fetch good prices. Unless the watch is a railroad model, an up/down or has other complications, or is a very, very low production model, it will unlikely be valued much over $50-$150 (running and in good condition) + any gold melt value if the case is solid gold.

Many other factors also enter into valuation, such as wear-thru on gold-filled cases, cracks and chips on porcelain dials, wear on the bow, rust on the movement, etc.
