My neighbor asked me to sell this watch for him, and I know next to nothing about watches so am trying to determine if it's worth the time and trouble to list it. I think it is called a Le Coultre Powermatic - is that right? Made sometime in the late 1940's. perhaps? As you can see in the picture, the band needs to be replaced. It doesn't run, but the thing inside that bounces around to wind it still bounces around (not very techinical language, I know, but hopefully someone knows what I am talking about!). The stem winds and when I pull it out the hands move like they are supposed to. However, it doesn't run. Can anyone give me an idea of what it might be worth as is? And maybe how much it would cost to get it fixed - just a ballpark figure? Any info would be very helpful, and greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Forgot to say that the case is steel, I think - it's certainly not gold. |

For a non runner I'll say $300-400 "AS IS". I can fix these typically under $300. It really depends on the parts they need. They can be expensive. |

Thanks for the info. I will go ahead and list it "as is", and let someone who really wants it pay for repairs (and I will send them your way if they don't know where to go). I really appreciate your help - thanks again! |
