The watch is 1.9" in diameter and is made from what appears to be rose gold. There is a number 4258 engraved on the case and 4309 engraved on the movement. The calendar dial does not work & I am trying to find someone who can repair it |

IS it solid gold? Otherwise it might not make economic sense to fix it. |

Actually, with this particular brand (Tiffany), it will make economic sense to repair the watch regardless of the case material. Especially given that the watch is an Up/Down version. The older Tiffany pockets do extremely well on the market. Many of the older Tiffany watches were manufactured by top companies like Patek Philippe, CH Meylan and others. |

Underneath the 4309 on the movement ihas Tiffany & co, New York engraved. There is an 18K on both the outside cover and the cover over the movement. There also are a series of very small numbers engraved (by hand) on the case, V7273 is the largest and most clear. Others are 22768c, 43724c, 437124c. The watch was my great grandfathers from somewhere around 1900. How would I go about getting an estimate for the repair or even finding someone willing to do it. |

As long as the enamel on the dial isn't horribly chipped or cracked, it's definitely worth getting fixed then. Value is probably approx $1500-2500. I will depend largely on whom made the movement. Regarding the repair, I can handle it, but you mention a part is missing, any idea which one? It will greatly affect how much the restoration cost will be. If you are interested in getting an estimate, contact me off forum: zafbasha@classicwatch.com Thanks. |
