I will appreciate a valuation for my Movado Kingmatic which my grandfather left to me in 1976.

The watch keeps accurate time, and is in good overall condition. The case is 14K gold, 1.25" in diameter. The stretch band is 18K gold.

I had the watch appraised in 1980. The appraiser set the value at $2,000, and said it was quite an unusual watch.

Thanks very much.Movado Kingmatic

Value is almost all in the gold, difficult to say without weighing it. I'd estimate in the slightly over $2000 range right now, but not by much. This is what you'd get if you were to sell it, not an "appraisal" which would be replacemetn cost, that figure is much higher.
