I just purchased a vintage Mathey Tissot however I do not really have any information on it. I just enjoy older watches. However, when my husband saw it he became excited because I paid 100.00 for it. The watch as a black rope band and has diamond like (I say like because I do not know for sure if they are diamonds or just crystals) stones embedded. It is a wind up watch. The tag says the following..."14k case 173 54-dia Dial figures are 18k Gold 454.S" on the back and the front says, "Since 1886 Mathey - Tissot Grand Prix Award". There are really no markings on the watch except on the back..there is an M with a check mark and then 14k. It keeps perfect time (well as good as a wind up can. Pictures are below. Is there anyway I can some estimate as to what I have I? Did I pay too much for it?

It will be worth near the scrap value for the diamonds & gold, so you're probably ahead, but not by much.
