My family has a Ladies Hamilton Watch. It is 900 PLAT 100 IRID. The face has 62 diamonds. The band has 28 diamonds about 8 pts each and 16 diamonds 2 pts each. 106 diamonds in all. It has a personal engraving on the back with a date of February 1937. I'm thinking it is either a 1936 or 1937 watch. It measures 6 7/8" long. The face is 9/16" wide by 7/8" tall. It takes a V364 battery. The condition is great, could use a professional cleaning. I have an appraisal from 1947 for $1,250.00. Any idea what the current appraisal is?

Today's value on such a thing will be the scrap value of the platinum and stone. I'd image it would actually be lower than your 1947 appraisal. An insurance appraisal, is an entirely different amount, and I'm not sure what that would be as most appraisers live in some kind of fantasy land that is unrelated to what the watch would fetch on the open market.
