Hello! We have a used 18K solid gold watch we would like to auction. Please guide us. It is patent no. 405.170 self-winding chronometer bought in 1973. In working order and good condition but the date crown and glass have been replaced (not with Omega parts). It was recently cleaned. It is more than 4 oz. and 7 1/2 " bracelet with initials that were polished off. We have original boxes, international guarantee and certificate of high precision all in perfect condition. Aprecciate all the help you give. Somehow I can't upload a picture but it's the same one you see in the Omega website. |

It's not a very popular style. Value will be along the order of gold scrap + $100-500. If it's in exceptional condition, it might go for more, given that it does have box & papers, etc. |

Thank you so much for the info. That's what most people have said. Our family member wore it many years in tropical weather so it's not in perfect condition, although he did take good care of it. The boxes and documents are in excellent condition. Maybe sell the watch for scrap and auction the box and papers? Appreciate all your help. When I try to upload a pic I get: "CGI Error The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers" Any ideas? TYA |

I think you should keep the watch and the box & papers together, that is where you will get the most return on the watch. I don['t know about the pucture issue, there is a restriction on picture size, so if they're huge, you'll need to shrink them. |
