Hi,I recently found this watch in my mom's estate and am interested in finding out the year and model and possibly what I could sell it for. I have pics of the face and the band, but not the movement. I haven't had a chance to take it to a jeweler to open it up and don't want to risk damaging it. Thanks for any help!

To add to the prior post:
1) the face diameter is approx. 3/4"
2) the watch works perfectly and to my untrained eye appears to be in excellent condition except for some wear marks on the back and a monogram.
3) the face is printed with "Geneve"

thanks so much!
Stacey

After reading through several of the posts in this forum (maybe I should have done that first), I'm guessing this should just be sold for the gold weight.

If so, any thoughts on why ladies watches are so uncollectible?
Thanks!

No, that applies to 'lesser' brands...on a ladies Patek, you should expect a large premium over gold weight. Perhaps + $1000-1500.

So your watch is probably worth $1500-2000.

Ladies watches are not in demand as ladies are more practical when it comes to such things, and just want something that's pretty and keeps time. They don't want to be hassled with the headaches of old mechanical watches. I'm generalizing here, but that's my experience. They'd be just as happy with a quartz Cartier for example

Well that's a nice surprise! Thanks for the info!

Now, I just have to figure out the best place to sell it... probably Ebay? But, I'm also pondering keeping it too. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.

Thanks again for taking the time to answer questions on this forum. It's nice to find people willing to offer their expertise without charging a fortune (or anything in this case) for it. :-)
