My guess is around nineteen sixties. It was my grandfather's watch ;) would never sell it, I'm just interested to find out the exact info on it. It seems to be 18ct gold. does needs a good clean. hope the pics help !

Your watch dates to the 50s rather than 60s. The serial number on the movement would date it more precisely but it can't be made out in your picture. Since your watch has a steel back it is more likely that the remainder of it is gold-capped or gold-filled rather than solid gold. Looks like your watch has the Longines 19ASD caliber. This watch might sell for around $300-400 depending on condition.

I agree with Jim. If it's extra clean, and the gold cap model with perfect green enamel, it could sell
for up to $600. $300-400 is more typical for typical condition watches.

These are actually kind of nice, they were Longines' answer to the Omega Constellation.

Ok, Thanks guys !
My father is a Jeweller here in Sydney,Australia.
so was my mother and grandfather. It runs like new, accurate time. From what I see from some of the post's here is its best not too have anything repainted or replaced just a good clean and buff I assume.

I really didn't have a clue about Longines watches, Know knowing the decade, caliber and the Omega comparison really helped!

if you guys can get the exact year by the model no. in the casing I will post it up! I plan to keep it for future generations in the family, Knowing the year would be nice.

Thanks again for your help !!

The serial number dates the watch to around 1957.
