My wife's recent purchase. Quad signned LC watch with VXN movement, calibre 490/BW ser#114XXXX. Could you give us an idea of production year and value? Thankslc1lc2

Small world. I sold the watch in December to the seller you bought it from. I'm surprised he didn't just copy/paste the year and other info from my original auction page text (item #120353341813)

I have not openned the watch, and I don't have the experience to do so. I used the photos from the auction for this post. The movement numbers are different from your auction. Our ser# is 1147406 which is different from the watch you sold. The dial is different too. I wonder if he swapped the movements out?

Yes, he swapped both the movement and dial before he sold the watch to you. The movement he installed is about 4 years older than the original movement I had in the watch. I wonder why he swapped.... it was running perfectly when I sold it to him. The dial had some natural age spots, but he could have just installed the other dial on the original movement. Odd.

You would have got the wrong production date by using the serial of the older movement that he installed. This definitely isn't a 1956 case design.

You got a good deal on the watch, IMHO (despite the parts swap). This is a model you don't see very often and the asymmetrical design is quite unique. I had expected my auction to fetch quite a bit more.
