I would appreciate an opinion on an older Rolex Oyster Perpetual I own. I do not know the history behind this watch other than it was owned by my Uncle who passed away many years ago. I believe the case is 34 mm Stainless, the serial # is 40039 and the reference # is 6581. I had the watch looked at by a watchmaker and he said it was in very good condition but needed cleaning, he also read the serial # as 40039. Please let me what you think this watch might be worth. The dial has been repainted, so that hurts the value. I see this sort of thing for sale usually between $700-900. |
