hi guys, i've chanced upon a watch on ebay.. supposed to be a longines circa 1900s.and this number is inscribed on the mvt, 1194989. here are some pictures of the watch.. is it really a longines watch? with a crystal back case? is it worth anything? i gotta know fast as the auction is ending soon! thanks! |

It's a converted pocket watch with what appears to be some aftermarket chasing done to the movement. Not worth much. |

I'll bet money that the seller is in the Ukraine. I see these all the time from that region. Must be a cottage industry up there converting pocket watches and engraving any part of the movement, dial and case that stands still long enough. |
