Probably around $3000-4000, it really depends on a lot of things though. |

Patek quarter repeaters generally sell for a lot less than minute repeaters and routinely go for what I said. $25,000 is way over the top unless it has some unsual features or provenance. Here is one for sale on 11/13/04: LOT 394, In Geneva: Patek, Philippe & Cie., Genve, No. 137792, case No. 266290, circa 1900. Very fine 18K gold, hunting cased, keyless quarter-repeating pocket watch, in original mahogany fitted box. Accompanied by original certificate. C. Five-body, bassine, polished, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions, sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. M. 40 mm (18'''), maillechort, fausses ctes decoration, 31 jewels, straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensationbalance with Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometric regulator.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 50 mm. Estimate: 9,000 CHF - 11,000 CHF (EUR 6,000 - 7,000) (USD 7,000 - 9,000) Price is a little skewed because of the very weak dollar. This one come with box & papers which adds a fair amount to the price. |
