Possible to let me know if you know the details and cost of this watch.
It is in good working condition - wind up, it has a gold face w/ roman numbers for placement of 12, 3, 6 and 9. The watch is stamped on backing and band w/ 14KT. The clasp is invisable when secured w/ push pins to unlock.
Thank you,
sea

Probably $1000-1500. It depends to a large degree on the amount of gold and the quality of the diamonds.

Thank you Zaf,
I found a similar watch w/ a round face that is for sale at 10,000$. I looked closely at this watch, this time and see that the watch may have been modified w/ the invisible clasp. The watch band is 14kt total, the white diamonds are white and clear. I guess I need to appraise.... do you have any suggestions for an appraiser?? I would like to sell it, I am a layoff worker and need to pay some bills. Thank you again

There are 2 prices, the "appraised price" where an appraiser, that usaully doesn't know anything about second hand watches, gives you a certificate for insurance purposes for "replacement value". This is, if you were to buy a new Omega diamond watch, it would cost you say $10,000.

The real world price, something a lot of folks on this board are quite familiar with, witll have nothing to do with the "appraised cost" or "replacement value". The real world price is, "how much would my watch fetch if I were to put it up for auction". I think that the $1000 to $1500 figure is a lot more realistic than $10,000.

I think a realistic course of action, is to see how much the gold & the diamonds are worth and add $500. It's not going to sell for more than that.

Thank you again Zaf,
That is very good advise for me since I am not knowing. If I want to sell w/ assessment of gold and diamond value where would I sell?(smile)
It will keep me in doors for a month or two anyways.(smile)
Thank you again, very much.(smile)

You can sell it on eBay, consign with a dealer or sell it to a dealer. Maybe go to a jeweler/watch store and have them make you an offer and have them state how much gold & diamonds are in it. That will be your "low price" then try to get more than that...if you're not in a hurry that is.
