I have a gold Eterna Wristwatch that my Grandfather purchased in Germany at the end of WWII. He gave it to me a year before He died in 1999. I have scoured the internet trying to find one like it. I am sure it is solid gold and not plated. Any Idea to the value.pic 1

If it is plated probably around $200, if gold probably around $400. The dial is too aged for it to get a higher valuation.

thanks, I was just curious because I carried to a jeweler in a a near by town just to see what he said. I guess the weight in gold is worth more than the watch itself because he offered me $1300 for it.
I am really not interested in selling but was just curious.

I think you should take the $1300 and run to the bank to deposit it (or stuff it in your mattress, given the banking situation). It would be a world record for something like this.
