Hi, I'm posting in reference to a new old stock butex chrono that I picked up earlier this year. It has sat unused it's entire life until I came upon it, the problem is that the movement is seized as a consequence of sitting unused for so long and will probably need an overhaul to be in working condition again. I'ld like to know what the ball park value would be for working nos butex chrono and what the average going rate is for a chrono overhaul. I haven't spent anything on this watch yet as it was free to me.Butex Chronograph

Hi, it isn't a super desirable brand or movement in there (I suspect it's a Landeron 48 family movement), so maybe around $400? if it truly is new old stock?

Thank you Zaf for your answer, It is indeed nos and still has the original leather strap. The only obvious issue besides the seized movement is the hands that appear deteriorated, probably due to the radium used on them. I suspect that the cost to overhaul the movement is close to the actual value of the watch, I'll probably have the work done anyway as I personally like the watch. I also suspect that this watch is relatively rare in this condition as well. Thanks again.

I can get the watch serviced for you < $300 + ship...if you can't find anything local.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll wait for after the coming holiday season to make a decision.
