I've stumped several Jewelers and watch people and can't seem to get a hold of how much this is worth. Any help would be great! Thanks much! Also, If you know of any good resources I would be grateful. I'm having a hard time loading the second image so I will post it separate.

It looks like it is missing a minute hand, but it is Gold. I think from the 1940's. Case Number: 10528504, Calibre # Omega 30.10 (movement)
Cloissone Enamel Dial, with a flower design. frontback

It all depends if the dial is made by Omega or not. Do you have any background or history on the watch?

I really don't. It was given to my friend from his grandfather. His grandfather was a world class international traveler (lived 1911-1997). His grandfather managed to collect a very significant painting collection. We assume he pick this up in his travels.

I suggest you go to www.omega.ch and ask about your watch. If the archive record comes back as it being an emanel dial watch, it is quite valuble. a few thousand, rather than a few hundred.

Are you saying they don't even answer? They're typically good about their vintage stuff. Did you sign up on their WEB site as a registered user? You can browse their archiva info, albeit it in a limited way...

Zaf,

I checked with Omega, the watch is legit. Was sold to the Swiss market in 1948 (date of production). The movement and the case were confirmed by Omega. Any idea of value?

Are they able to confirm that it was fitted with an enamel dial? That is the key here....

I think you're looking at a $6-10,000 watch then...you'll need to fix its problems and find the suitable hands and so on to get that kind of money. If you can prove it came from the factory that way, it's a very rare piece.

Did they mention how many like this were made?

Thanks Zaf,

No they didn't mention how many -though we couldn't find a dial that matched it precisely (enamel coloring etc). The design was made from the ,id 40s to the early 50s. I think it is safe to say the piece is on the rare side -from their explanation.

I have someone willing to buy it for 14k. Do you think that is a good price?
