This watch belonged to my late Grandfather who worked as an Air Traffic controller through the 1940s, 50s and 60s. I have seen picture of other versions on the internet, including a limited edition reissue by Tissot, and there appears to be two versions of the inner dial. The most common I’ve seen shows Bombay and Calcutta with separate time lines. The other has the time lines for Bombay and Calcutta connected. I believe it wasn’t until the mid 1950s that Bombay and Calcutta officially had the same time zone in India, so I’m assuming this watch is from the later half of that decade.

Completely original with no modifications, stainless steel casing, 17 jewel automatic bumper movement (works fine), obvious scratches and dings, outer dial silver numerals on gold band, some inner dial discoloration, no packaging or wrist straps, etc.

Two questions please – proper grading? and price? Thanks in advance.

It is a 1950s watch yes, they trade in the $1200-$1800 range typically.
