I recently acquired this watch and I hope it's worth at least what I paid for it. I believe it's from 1953, the band is not original, any ideas?

It's a desriable shape in an un-desirable gold filled case, value $250-$350.

Wow, thanks, that's better than I payed. Any ideas where I can get an appropriate band from maybe gold-tone or some sort of leather? What would the original strap style be?

Thanks again.

I'd imagine the original strap would have been leather with Longines buckle...not sure where to get that other than through a Longines dealer, but it may cost almost as much as the watch.
