I bought this watch new in the early 70's, I wish to sell via e-bay. Steel watch minor scratches on crystal body and band in great shape.Watch alarm repaired in the 70's at jeweler where watch purchased and the minute label attached to the inner crystal shows damaged edges. Two pic's attached. Thanks Txlingo

We are looking for an approximate value range for an Omega Seamaster chronograph which we purchased (new) in Sept./64 as follows: Case size (not including lugs) 38mm Mov. No. NB . 3103 Ref. 18645156 Cal. 321 KO 2907/2 17 jewels 315 164 14Kt gold (plated?) Was worn daily for about 10 years and is in average condition. Watch runs and all functions operate properly although it could use a good cleaning and service. We had contemplated selling this watch on eBay but would be open to any suggestions or recommendations. I have tried to take photos but can't seem to get rid of the glare. |

Zittz1 I believe that it would have made more sense to start a new post rather that attach your question to my post? Txlingo |

Well, it's worth a lot less the original Polaris, maybe $1000-1700. I don't know about the other watch w.o seeing it. |

Zaf, I found this link for a watch like mine in a different color. They were asking $5500.00 not sure what it actually sold for. Your thoughts? Txlingo Check Robert Maron.com product #16203 |

Zaf,, e-bay is asking for authentication of my watch before I list it for sale. Can you tell me from the pic's if this watch could be a fake? I am the original owner since the 1971. Where is the serial number placed on this watch? Txlingo |

Ask them how one would authenticate a 30 year old JLC product. I'd be very curious to know. Your watch is genuine. |

Zaf one last question...I was referred to a local respected jeweler who suggested that I replace the crystal (scratches) and damaged inner ring (minute markings) changing OEM parts to non-oem parts IMO would negatively impact the value of watch? correct? |

If the appearance is 100% the same, then no. I doubt that the inner ring is an avalaible part however. If you still something similar, it would impact value in a negative way. If you are selling it on eBay, you will not recoup your money on this, so I'd just leave it. |
