Hi all, I bought this watch for myself as a 21st present a little over 12 months ago and I would love to know some more about it.
I am certain that it is a genuine Tudor, and the ex-Rolex serviceman who serviced it agreed, but i cannot find any cases from either Tudor or Rolex which look similar.
I have attached some photos of the watch. the Tudor symbol can be seen just underneath the 12, it features a simplified shield (with a flat top) and what I believe is a flower, with Tudor written beneath and SWISS MADE across the bottom edge of the face. the movement is 17 jewel and Tudor labelled, which makes me think it was very early (i believe early on Tudor had their movements labelled as Tudor?). On the back is 2 codes, 696889 and 898. The band is patented but I cannot make out the brand ( *miWG is what I can see). The watch is in fairly good condition, a couple of small marks on the face and lense, and the strap has given way.

I would love to know what the approximate date of the watch is, roughly what its value may be and where I might be able to find a replacement stretchy stainless strap (as the original was lovely to wear)

thanks heaps
Ryan

Looks like a 1950s watch, I'd say it's worth $350-500 but that's just a guess I don't have a record of a similar sale.

thanks for that. no suggestions where I may be able to find out more? Tudor info seems a bit elusive. also, any ideas where I may be able to find a similar strap/band?

thanks
