I have an 1888 Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. movement # 3161896 in a Fahys Montauk No 1 case number 196590. This watch has been passed down through five generations. The watch is in excellent condition considering it is 120 years old. The case itself is the original case the movement was held in. It was given to my great-great-great-grandmother in 1890. This is an Elgin website showing the details for this movement watch.

These are three pictures of my watch. The first two are of the watch and the movement, the third is the case.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my watch, I hope it was worth your time.

Generally speaking, 7 jewel Elgins, in gold filled cases are not in demand. Value is $75-150. These were not expensive watches to begin with.
