Our father in England has a Rolex watch without a strap. We are wondering about the date and estimated value. The inside of the back says, 16 World's Records, Gold Medal, Geneva Suisse. There are also various stamps, numbers and letters AND various extremely small hand etched numbers on the inside of the back. It also says 15 Rubies on the inside of the watch at the back. Any ideas?

Sounds like an early one, but I need a picture to give an opinion.

We don't have a photo of the watch yet... in the mean time, do the following markings mean anything to you?
?(can't read) d
.925
RWCLTD
57262
7
L

We also have another interesting old watch. Possibly a ladies, because the face is smaller than the Rolex. There is no name on the face. On the inside back cover are the following markings:
GS
.925 U
1554

We'll try to get a photo of both.

Hard to tell with out a pic, but the first is likely an early vintage Rolex Oyster made of silver.

The second is also a silver watch, but I can't tell beyond that.
