This is a watch given to me by my dad. I don't think it will be worth much since it is a quartz, but still curious nonetheless. The watch is stainless steel. I don't know what the model numbers are.

Also, there is a dent in the bezel. I was told that dent (it's more like a deep nick, like a chunk of metal is missing) can only be repaired by filling it with metal, and then plating the whole case. I was thinking of platinum. The question is, would this devalue the watch? Or does it not really matter since it is not worth much?

Thanks,
Ryan

Apart from the nick/dent, the watch is in good condition. Thanks!

Here is a closer picture of the nick. Worth fixing by filling and plating the whole case with some sort of precious metal?

With the caveat that I have never sold a quartz Patek, I'm going to say around $2000. Anything mechanical in a mens size is trading at twice that.

A really competent laser welder will fill it with steel and polish it back so that you can't even tell a repair was made.

Zaf, do you do this kind of work? Or anyone you can recommend? Thanks!

I can ask my guy if this is something he does.
