Hi, My father left me some watches and the most interesting one is a Harwood he collected 20 years ago. I search the internet and learned much more about it but I have some questions. The pictures of Harwood I saw on the internet are all round where you turn the bezel to adjust the time. The one I have is having a square dial with a hexagon case where you turn the case back to adjust the time. Please tell me more about my watch. Is it real? Is the case gold? Is it an early model or a later one? What might be the value? Here is the specification and measurement. The watch is 29 mm x 35 mm. the crystal/dial is 21 mm x 21 mm. The case looks like gold with a hallmark near one of the lug (you can see this in the photo) but I can't figure out what it is. In the case back there is a mark on the top looks like "SWG" inside. In the middle it looks like a head inside the shape of a shield. Under it there is the word "MD" and a number 309421 with a hammer shape in the bottom with the number 105 inside. On the movement I found the following: BR+EP STE FSE HARWOOD BREVETE S.G.D.G. NO. 580247 Blancpain FAB SUISSE The overall condition is very good and it is running. Please see the attached photos for details. Thanks for your time. Best regards,

It looks genuine to me. I can't tell what hallmarks are on it, but it's most likely 9k gold, for the UK market. You'd need to research those hallmarks to be sure. |

Many thanks Zaf. If it is in deed 9k, what would be the value of the watch? Appreciate your estimation. Best regards, |
