Here is a watch I am considering bidding on. The information provided is from the auction listing. I am new to watch collecting and would appreciate any opinions on what the watch is worth in its current state and what you think it might be worth restored. I appreciate your assistance. Omega Constellation Chronometer PIE PAN Mens Wristwatch. Circa: 1950s Winding: Automatic Metal: Stainless Steel. Measurements: 34 mm aprox. Case Reference: Case Reference.2852 SC. Case Sn.: n/a Movement Sn.: Movement Sn.16293603 Calibre: Calibre 505. Working condition: Yes but needs a service. Not recently serviced, timed or regulated: Overall Condition of Case: Good to Very good but case back gold seal rubbed. Overall Condition of Dial: Poor Notes: 100% Original Omega wristwatch but winding crown not signed.

It looks like it is in need of a complete restoration. I wouldn't bid on it unless you like headaches, but if you must, maybe $200 at the most. |

That is totally ridiculous. Glad you didn't bid. The back is totally worn and the dial needs to be repainted. It will never be nice even if you throw $400 at it. |
